PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (Emtek Group) recently announced their "Studio of the Future" vision using Google Cloud generative AI-based production technology to help revitalize an older 2013 animation work of theirs called Keluarga Somat. The new Keluarga Somat was recently aired in 2026 on Vidio and MentariTV Indonesia.
Using a Custom VidioGen platform?
The new Keluarga Somat animation utilised Emtek Group's VidioGen platform to streamline production. VidioGen is a studio production AI platform custom-built by Vidio's technology team using Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Veo, Imagen, and Gemini model families.

Following the migration of a family of Indonesians from Central Java to the city, the new Keluarga Somat characters show smoother and more realistic facial expressions with more detailed props and surroundings. Emtek used Google's AI models long context windows to avoid "visual drift".
VidioGen Features
The VidioGen platform features "Outpainting" and "Inpainting", enabling artists to extend frame boundaries for panoramic shots and allowing visual effects teams to instantly edit props, textures, and lighting, reducing redevelopment time and costs by 30%.

Emtek plans to integrate Gemini-powered transcription, subtitling, and dubbing in the future. The Vivi (Vidio Vision) solution, also powered by Gemini 3.1, analyses footage to automatically generate promotional assets and highlight reels within minutes.
