Are you a U Mobile subscriber that loves to stream videos on your smartphone? Well, you are in luck because starting 29 April 2016, U Mobile will be introducing "unlimited" free video streaming with Video-Onz. They will be collaborating with 11 video streaming partners including Viu, YouTube and iFlix, so you can stream your favourite shows from your favourite video streaming platform at any time.
By using Video-Onz, your streaming videos will be optimized at a standard definition of (480p) video resolution. The U Mobile Video-Onz partner will adjust the video resolution accordingly to optimize the viewing experience on your mobile device. The unlimited free video streaming is only available to U Mobile customers that are currently subscribed to the Postpaid Hero P70, i90 and i130 plans. But, for the rest of you that are not in these plans, you will be entitled to get an extra 100% quota based on your postpaid/prepaid plans monthly quota just for streaming purposes. In other words, as long you are at least using one of their postpaid/prepaid plans, for example, the prepaid UMI 30 plan that comes with monthly 1.5GB data quota, it will entitle you to another 1.5GB Video-Onz data quota instead of unlimited quota. All U Mobile subscribers that are eligible will be automatically subscribed to Video-Onz starting 29 April 2016.
To check Video-Onz usage, you can dial *118# or through the My U Mobile app after the service officially launch later. Besides that, HyppTV is also offering free 60 days premium access to their live TV channel, exclusively for U Mobile subscribers. You can redeem the voucher code by SMS HYPP to 28122 to get it. For iPhone user, you will need to redeem the voucher from hypptv.tm.com.my via PC instead. You will also receive a text notification when your Video-Onz data usage reaches 100%. This free data streaming promotion will last until 31 July 2016 and for further information regarding Video-Onz, you can visit their webpage. This new Video-Onz promotion does not affect the current free YouTube and Tonton streaming thankfully.
