Finally, after a super long overdue - Fortnite has officially made its way to the Google Play Store. Prior to that, mobile gamers needed to go to the Epic Games website and download the APK installer, third-party platforms, or even some "exclusives" such as Samsung Galaxy and HONOR smartphones. Well, looks like fans can have a breather now.

While that is good news for fans, Epic Games think otherwise. According to the company's official statement, they said that any downloadable software that is not part of Google Play is at a disadvantage. This is due to the technical and business measures, repetitive security pop-ups, carrier agreements, dealings and more. In other words, "Google public relations characterizing third-party software sources as malware".

On top of that, Epic Games will also have to pay up 30% cut from in-app purchases to Google which is a lot. But for the sake of easier user experience, they decided to go on ahead and put the game up on the Google Play Store. By the way, Fortnite is also already available on the Apple App Store.
