For your information, the company was founded in 1938. The name Samsung is a combination of “Sam” and “Sung”. When combined, it translates to “three stars”. Based on Samsung’s official website, the name was chosen by Lee Byung-Chull, the founder of the company. Interestingly, you can see how the three stars were incorporated into the logo and evolved into how it looks today.
