When it comes to the former Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Razak, the 1MDB scandal will always be an issue synonymous with him. Today, his lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah has requested for the 1MDB documentary to be taken off Netflix. So, what should you know about it?
In case you didn’t know, the documentary about the 1MDB scandal is titled “Man on The Run”. The content of the documentary primarily revolves around Jho Low. However, the lawyer claims the documentary is subjudice and it harms the reputation of his client.
Hence, it is understandable why the lawyer proposed such a request. For your information, the documentary has been on air since 5 January. According to Tan Sir Shafee, he found 160 derogatory involving his client. In turn, he will also propose to the national lawyer, MCMC and Ministry of Home Affairs to revoke the airing rights for the show.
