AR lens is a new selfie feature that allows the user to be more creative with the front camera. For Face Unlock, it is what it does - unlocking your phone with your face but in Huawei's case, you have two ways of doing this - 1) Direct unlock or 2) Slide to unlock. What's the difference? Well, if you choose 'slide to unlock', you can take advantage of its notification display smart lock screen notifications. This is because if the phone doesn't recognize your friend's face, it will automatically hide the content from any notifications. In other words, your privacy is protected.

To upgrade the two new features, just go to:

  1. Settings
  2. System update
  3. Tap on the upper right corner button with the three points icon
  4. Download latest full package
