Facebook Messenger no longer has Discover tab, focuses more on Stories

Many regular users of Facebook Messenger have run into a chatbot at one point or another and while amusing at times, most find it pointless. Facebook has redesigned the app, which has been greatly streamlined with the Discover tab for businesses now gone. Instead, it now has an emphasis on the People tab and is more focused on Stories.

According to TechCrunch, the Facebook Messenger app now focuses on just two tabs: Chats and People. The Discover tab, Games, and other less frequently features are no longer available or readily accessible. Facebook has been working on stripping off or hiding features that don't see much use, with the Discover tab the most recent was to get the boot. The redesigned app will be rolled out gradually to various regions, though Malaysian users should be able to experience it now by updating the app through the app stores.

It's clear that Facebook has been aiming for a simplified app that is just about letting users share stuff with each other, which is a good thing in our opinion.
