Most Malaysians probably prefer WhatsApp over Facebook Messenger. But if you're one of the few who uses the latter, it's good to know that the app is still being updated. In fact, Meta recently added several new features to Facebook Messenger.
According to the announcement, new Messenger Calling features have been added to Facebook Messenger. The first one is AI Backgrounds, which allows users to use AI-generated images as backgrounds for video calls. To generate a background, tap the 'effects' icon and select 'Backgrounds'. While some may not find this useful, some users may find having different backgrounds when calling different people.
Facebook Messenger also added HD video calls, background noise suppression, and voice isolation. As you can tell, these features are focused on enhancing audio and video quality in video calls. Users can also now send audio or video messages, and iPhone users can now enjoy hands-free calling with the help of Siri.
