According to Engadget, Facebook is limiting the number of links you can post to just two per month unless you subscribe to Meta Verified. So, what should you know about it?

Influencers, celebrities, brand accounts, and more will be heavily affected by this change

For your information, the notifications are only being received by customers using professional mode and Facebook Pages. Meta also said the feature is still a test to gather user feedback on paying to upload links.

Among those who will be affected if this feature becomes mandatory are celebrities, influencers, brand accounts, websites and even media companies. Meta previously said that Meta Verified subscriptions will provide higher reach on Facebook and Instagram compared to regular accounts.

In Malaysia, the price of a Meta Verified subscription starts at RM36.99 per month, and this will be another cost that companies will have to bear if they want to continue uploading links on Facebook.

On the positive side, it will allow verification of accounts that truly belong to celebrities, influencers and companies to avoid the problem of fraud that is rampant on the platform through identity theft activities.
