Facebook has announced a new app which allows them to get feedback from users in a faster and more responsive way for all of its apps including Instagram and Whatsapp. Not only that is new, there is also a source saying Facebook would be introducing one of Instagram's features which is ‘Close Friends’ on Facebook.

The app called ‘Facebook Viewpoints’ is developed to collect feedback from users who are using Facebook’s services in an interactive way. The app will reward users who take surveys, complete tasks and participate in market research. More than that, Facebook also mentioned only users who are 18 and older are allowed to use the app.

When you’re in the app, you would be asked to set up a Facebook Viewpoints account. Later, explanations will be given on how the app works and how you’ll be collecting points by completing the program. If you’ve reached a certain amount of points, Facebook will pay you directly to your PayPal account for your contribution (wow). Facebook has stated they won’t sell your information to third parties and publicly share any activity from Facebook Viewpoints to your main Facebook account as well.

The other thing the company is trying to do is to bring Instagram ‘Close Friends’ feature to Facebook Messenger. The name of the feature would be called ‘Favourites’. The initiative of having this feature on Facebook Messenger is to let the users share content with a selected group of friends rather than everyone who you have added as ‘friends’. This feature will work the same as the one on Instagram by allowing you to share stories that will disappear in 24 hours with selected people.

However, don’t expect the feature to come to your phone soon. A spokesperson of the Messenger team stated that there are no immediate plans for rollout. For a first glimpse at the feature, there are mockups generated by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong which she posted on Twitter after she spotted the code.
