Last week, we reported that Facebook has begun testing out Live Audio Rooms and it seems that it was a success. According to the recent Facebook Newsroom post, the Live Audio Rooms alongside Podcast will be rolling out the features in the US first.

In case you missed what Live Audio Rooms is all about, it's the equivalent of Clubhouse for Facebook users to create host or join a room with public figures on any topics. Unlike Clubhouse, anyone can join a Live Audio Room as long as the invite is open with up to 50 speakers and an unlimited number of listeners. Similarly to Facebook Gaming, listeners can also show support to the speaker via stars that can bump them to the "front row".

If one hosts a Live Audio Room in a group setting, the admins can control whether the setting is public or private. Apparently, there's a difference for Facebook groups because if the Live Audio Room is set to public, both group members and visitors can check it out but if it was hosted privately, then only members can listen to it. Besides that, the host can also choose a nonprofit or fundraiser to which the participants can donate.

On the other hand, Facebook is also releasing Podcasts featuring multiple celebrities and podcasters. Facebook users can listen to any podcast while browsing the News Feed via a mini player or full screen. More Podcast features such as captions and creating short clips are scheduled for this summer.

As mentioned, Live Audio Rooms and Podcast will roll out in the US first and it seems that the Apple iOS users will get a taste of it. It's going to take some more time before these features reach out to the rest of the world. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
