Facebook is testing out a new feature that lets you create up to 5 profiles

Up to five profiles? How does that work? Well, this is still a test and has not been released yet by Facebook. But it does look like some initiative to encourage current Facebook users to stay on the platform instead of moving to other social media platforms.

According to sources, Facebook is testing out giving each user to create up to four profiles that can be switched. For example, each additional profile can be used for a different group of friends or colleagues, as well as group fans and so on. This is sort of like managing a business page through Facebook but more personalised.

Facebook spokesperson, Leonard Lam said that the profiles are still subject to the company's policies, so if the user has violated one of the profiles, the whole account will get in trouble. Furthermore, it is reported that these new Facebook profile add-ons allow you to switch your username as well except for including numbers or special characters.

Sources say that for the first time in Facebook's history, the company lost daily users in the fourth quarter of 2021. The majority of the group who left are the younger generation as they jumped ship on TikTok. But what do you think of this new potential feature?
