Those of you who are active users on Facebook probably have tonnes of photos or videos posted on the platform. The good news is that you'll now be able to backup all your files. Facebook is launching a transfer tool that will let you move your media files from the platform and the first third-party platform of choice is Google Photos.

According to 9to5Google, the transfer tool can be found in the settings menu. First, log in to Facebook and press the arrow key on the top-right. Next, select 'Settings' and go to the 'Your Facebook Information' tab on the left and you'll find the function to transfer your media files. As a security measure, you'll need to input your account's password another time before you can proceed.

Overall, it's not hard to find and the process is rather straightforward. This tool was only available in certain countries starting in late 2019, but Facebook is now making it available globally. More third-party platforms are also expected to be added in the future.

To those of you who've managed to transfer your files, how is your experience with the tool so far? Were there any bugs or issues that you've encountered? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
