As many of you know, advances in technology lead to improved products and platforms. These advances are sometimes achieved with our help, indirectly or not. Now, Facebook has a new technology that takes advantage of the content uploaded by its users.

Yesterday, the company announced a new project called Learning from Videos. As the name suggests, it's a technology that can learn from videos posted on Facebook. Specifically, Facebook utilised artificial intelligence to glean insights from the audio, text, and visuals in the videos on its platforms.

Facebook has already gotten some success with its new AI technology on Instagram. Using it, the company was able to reduce speech recognition errors on Instagram Reels by 20%. The platform's recommendation feature is also now better at grouping similar videos together, then showing them to users. Honestly, it'll be more interesting to see what else Facebook can do with this project for its other services.

With that said, what's a specific improvement you would like to see on other apps under Facebook (i.e WhatsApp, Facebook)? Let us know in the comments below! Also, stay tuned to TechNave for other tech news like this.
