Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has called upon members of the Komuniti MADANI to download the “Price Catcher” app to assist the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in addressing the issue of sudden price hikes in the country. He added that consumers can easily compare prices through the app and find sudden increases in the prices of certain goods.

Accordingly, they can inform the district inform officers serving their respective communities. BERNAMA quoted the Communications Minister as saying that members of the Komuniti MADANI can also inform about the products available in their areas and any difficulties so that KPDN can help resolve the issue of rising prices.

Developed by KPDN, the Price Catcher app displays the prices of 480 selected items in wet markets, hypermarkets, supermarkets, mini markets, and grocery stores that are monitored. Furthermore, 6  categories of goods are monitored via the app, namely fresh goods, dry goods, packaged items, milk and baby products, hygiene products and beverages.
