Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has revealed that he will meet with all social media platform providers in Malaysia at the end of this month. The meeting is meant to address the management of cyberbullying issues in our country.

According to Bernama, Fahmi stressed that the meeting is necessary as his Ministry is unhappy with the commitment shown by platform providers in handling complaints related to cyberbullying. The Communications Minister gave an example of the “very disappointing” management of cyberbullying on platforms such as TikTok, saying that it seemed to be taken lightly.
