Nostalgia often works when it comes to games, so many developers have been taking advantage of this in recent years. Take the upcoming Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered, which is a going to be playable on mobile and consoles later this year. In the latest trailer, it was also revealed that the game will be free-to-try.

According to the description for the trailer, Android and iOS gamers can download the game on the app stores for free. However, it'll only have the content and features available in the Lite edition of the game. This edition is the same as the demo available on consoles (Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4), which means that you'll only get to play the first 13 dungeons. If you want the full game, you'll have to unlock it via in-app purchase.

Other than the above limitation, you'll get to enjoy the same kind of features the full version has. There's co-op play, cross-platform compatibility, and chat functions. However, those who don't own the full game can only do co-op play in three dungeons, while those who paid for the full game can invite free players to co-op in the first 13 dungeons.

If you've never played the original Crystal Chronicles, you might want to keep an eye out for when this game releases on 27 August 2020.
