Way back when Minority Report first came out, I’ve been waiting years for someone to come up with a giant holographic desktop I could do work with and finally, it’s here with Spacetop. Featuring a pair of smart glasses paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 powered keyboard laptop without a display, Spacetop creates what they claim to be a 100-inch curved Augmented Reality (AR) display for all your apps and work.
While you can bring it about, those who have tried it say that it’s not very stable, despite you having a 100-inch FHD curved display that only you can see, so there’s no issue of needing a lot of space to put an actual 100-inch display. Unfortunately, there’s no Malaysia release date or pricing details, just that it’s currently only available to a select 1000 testers.
It’s interesting, especially as a proof of concept but we’re hoping more such devices will come, perhaps with a more polished and powerful setup. Check out the video below and let us know what you think about Spacetop in the comments. As always, stay tuned to TechNave.com
