At the end of July, Qualcomm announced the entry-level Snapdragon 4s Gen 2. It was also confirmed that Xiaomi would be the first smartphone brand to feature this chipset. More than 2 months later, we finally have news of this Xiaomi device's launch date.
According to Smartprix, Xiaomi will launch a new Snapdragon 4s Gen 2-powered phone in India next week. The exact device name wasn't announced, but it's suggested the phone could be a new addition to the Redmi 13 series. Our best guess is this new phone is an upgraded Pro model. Tentatively, let's call it the Redmi 13 Pro 5G.

This speculation holds merit if you consider that the Redmi 13 5G packs a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE chipset. In addition, the Redmi 13 5G only has a main camera (108MP) and a macro camera (2MP). A Redmi 13 Pro 5G with an extra ultra-wide camera would offer enough to be worth upgrading, provided the upgrade doesn't cost too much.
But what do you think? Would a Redmi 13 Pro 5G offer good value? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
