Tiny Pico Projectors have been around for quite a while with attachments for various smartphones and even the Samsung Galaxy Beam which had a pico projector built-in. Plans for a tablet with a built-in Pico Projector have been in development for a few years as well and one of the first to reach us is the Promate lumiTab. The full tech specs for the Promate lumiTab are as follows:

While the hardware techspecs put it as an entry-level tablet, the battery is definitely larger than most while 35 Lumens LED lamp should be bright enough for most reasonably dim rooms. With its 1080p HD decoding capability and above all very lightweight 379g it makes for a very portable presentation tool. While the specs do list High-quality stereo loudspeakers it would probably only just do in a pinch. Definitely an alternative for a mobile road warrior or home theater system. Unfortunately, no details were available on pricing or availability but it should reach Malaysia by one of our enterprising online retailers soon.
