With the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) getting ready for its big debut next month, Sony has allowed some media organisations in Japan to get a feel for the console. These media folks have reported on some of their findings and most seem to be impressed so far.

According to TechRadar, some big media companies managed to try the PS5 with a few games and have published their findings. One of the things mentioned was that the console's large size. Even the DualSense controller is noticeably larger than the current PS4's DS4 controller. We also see that there's an accessory that helps the PS5 stand, though it's not revealed whether this is an included accessory and if it can stand vertically without it.

Besides that, both Dengeki Online and 4Gamer praised the PS5's fan for being surprisingly quiet. It also seemed to be very effective for keeping the console cool. However, it's noted that the console draws in quite a bit of air from the front and sides, before venting out through the back. It's clear that it would need quite a bit of space to stay well-ventilated, so it's probably not a good idea to tuck it away in a tight corner.

Regarding the performance of the console, Sony allegedly allowed media to try out a few PS5 games like Godfall and Astro's Playroom. Here, Famitsu praised how fast the game loads or restarts when they died in games. In the video, you can see that it literally takes about 3-5 seconds after dying before the scene loads back in.

Our favourite here is the amazing fast load the PS5's SSD can do and we can't wait to see more of the console in action. What about you, which PS5 feature are you excited about? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more PS5 updates.
