If you talk about fitness bands, Fitbit is one of the biggest brands in Malaysia. The company's Fitbit Charge series is quite popular, but last year's model didn't offer much in the way of improvements. Fortunately, Fitbit is bringing some big changes this year.
Thanks to @_snoopytech_, we have some info on the Fitbit Charge 5 via a leaked ad. It hints that the company's next premium fitness band is set to launch on 23 October 2021. In terms of design, the sides and edges are now rounded. Fitbit is also going for a shinier frame rather than the plain black it usually favours.
Specs:
— Snoopy (@_snoopytech_) August 22, 2021
- "Daily Readiness Score" (only Premium)
- Daily Stress Management Score
- Health Metrics dashboard
- GPS
As for the features, the most notable change is the display of the Fitbit Charge 5. Instead of a monochrome display, the new model comes with a full-colour screen. It will also have a GPS tracker, EDA sensor, and an ECG sensor. The device should also come with a premium subscription to Fitbit's servers.
The Fitbit Charge will allegedly retail for USD 179 (~RM757), which makes it a premium product among fitness bands. Having said that, will you be interested in getting one of these? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
