If you're a fan of iPhones and would like a foldable version, you probably have to wait for another two years. At least, that's what a well-known analyst believes. The source is forecasting that Apple will aim to ship such a device in 2023.

According to MacRumors, Kuo Ming-Chi has said that the foldable iPhone will feature an 8-inch OLED panel. Samsung will be the device's exclusive supplier of flexible OLED displays and display driver integrated chips. Moreover, Apple is expected to ship between 15 to 20 million units of foldable iPhones within 2023.

The analyst also suggests Apple will adopt the TPK Touch Solutions silver nanowire touch solution, as it will provide the company with a "long-term competitive advantage". He also believes that foldable devices will become a product category that's considered a must-have for all major smartphone brands.

Of course, analyst predictions aren't always accurate, so do take the news with a grain of salt. Having said that, it sounds like Apple is planning to make its foldable device really impressive, which is something to look forward to.
