Ford wants your help in designing a new virtual race car

Who says gamers can't make direct contributions? Ford certainly doesn't believe so and has asked for gamers to help it build a virtual racing car. This project is likely done to strengthen the brand recognition for Team Fordzilla, the company's esports team that was set up for Forza Motorsport.

According to the Twitter announcement, Team Fordzilla will hold a series of polls to gauge gamers' preference when it comes to virtual racing cars. For example, the first poll asked whether gamers prefer having a co-driver or drive solo. It's likely that Ford will only be using these poll results in certain areas to help with the major decision areas of the design. However, that's not a 100% guarantee.

Currently, there are no other details on what Ford has planned, except that the design will not be based on any existing real-life models. The finalised vehicle will be called Team Fordzilla P1 and will be used by the Fordzilla esports team in competitions for Forza Motorsport.
