Based on a statement by techradar.com, an OPPO patent hints that future smartphones from the manufacturer could come equipped with Li-Fi technology. For those who are not familiar, Li-Fi functions similar to Wi-Fi except it utilized LED lights to transmit data instead of radio waves.
With that said, Li-Fi could potentially transfer significantly more data compared to Wi-Fi. However, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that OPPO has yet to provide an official statement on the leak.
