Future applications might require desktop mode support + More info on Android Q surfaced

Android Q to let users run multiple apps at once without pausing

Google has unveiled more information regarding the desktop mode which will be shipped along with its mobile operating system, Android Q. Based on xda-developers.com, Google has been quietly in the talks with various developers to have their apps reworked to support foldable, multi-display and even large-screen devices. That being said, with Google Pixel 4 shipping with Android Q pre-installed, is it safe to assume that Google will showcase the desktop mode on the said device during launch.

It is best to note that Google isn’t the first to have their devices have desktop mode support, as companies like Samsung and Huawei have had high-end models of their smartphones come with the feature pre-installed.

That being said, we can expect more and more applications to be developed with the multi-display environment framework in mind as per Google’s requirement. Which is comforting, knowing the fact that we will be getting a better experience overall no matter where we use the app. For more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
