GOG Galaxy 2.0 now has integration with Epic Games Store

Can't stand having all those game launchers running at the same time? You're probably not the only one, which is why having more of them integrated is great news. That's exactly what CD Projekt Red is doing for its GOG Galaxy 2.0 platform with Epic Games Store now directly integrated to the platform.

The GOG team announced this in their official forums yesterday, confirming that the Epic Games Store can now be connected to your GOG account. Previously, the only other platform available would be Xbox Live. You could also connect your GOG account to other platforms like Steam via GOG Connect, but all that does is import your library from Steam and only some games can be imported. If it was a proper integration, you would be able to do much more like directly manage your Steam account.

Besides the Epic Games Store integration, the GOG team also briefly mentioned that new features will be coming soon. One of them is the ability to view all your subscriptions in one location, which makes it easy for you to track them. We hope that they'll make it possible to purchase games from Epic Games Store directly from GOG Galaxy 2.0 too, as it means we won't need the other launcher anymore but that might be asking for too much.

For gamers, having just one app that manages all our different game store accounts is the ultimate dream. At least that way, we won't have so many launchers to deal with.
