GWM ORA GOOD CAT Malaysia release - new EV starting from RM139,800

Before we enter the month of December, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia announced the official launch of ORA GOOD CAT in Malaysia. The launch has been highly anticipated by Malaysians, as many had the chance to test-drive the car and place pre-booking orders over the past three weeks.

During the launch, the ORA GOOD CAT 400 Pro and 500 Ultra's price tags were unveiled to start from RM139,800 and RM169,800 respectively. In addition, ORA GOOD CAT buyers can also enjoy a complimentary portable and home charger, a 5-year or up to 150,000 km warranty, an 8-year or up to 180,000 km battery warranty, and 5 times free service labour maintenance. 

Coming in a wide range of two-tone and mono-tone colour skins, the ORA GOOD CAT comes with an intelligent LED headlamp system, 18” Alloy wheels and an LED taillight strip. Moreover, the car is equipped with a modern 7” Cluster Display that comes with a user-friendly interface and an electronic driver massage seat. An in-car entertainment system is available as expected, which customers can enjoy on the 10.25" Multimedia Touch Screen Display and it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

In between the driver and passenger seat, there's an electronic shifter with a rotary gear shift located at the centre console allowing for a neater in-cabin space. And on the top, there's a fully electric panoramic sunroof as well as foldable leather seats that can accommodate up to 858 litres of storage space. The ORA GOOD CAT 500 Ultra variant is said to last 500 KM from one single charge.

With five driving modes ranging from Normal, Sport, Eco, Eco+, and Auto that caters to customers’ needs and preference, the car also comes with an integrated intelligent parking system that assists in three modes of automatic parking. There are also HD 360-degree cameras to detect and avoid large vehicles within their proximity. To further enhance the safeties, the electric vehicle is equipped with an auto emergency braking system.

With the first batch of cars expected to be delivered in December 2022, customers can also view and test-drive the car at GWM’s designated authorised dealers in Glenmarie, Puchong, and Penang. GWM is also providing their customers with customer services through the implementation of 24-hour roadside assistance, appointed by its panel insurance company and a spare parts warehouse which has been established in Shah Alam.
