As GXBank approaches its 1st anniversary, the digital bank has released a few announcements. So if you're a GXBank user, pay close attention because it's going to be a slight big change.

According to GXBank, the current interest rate will be adjusted from 3% to 2% for both Main Account and Savings Pockets effective on 1 October 2024. Although it's a 1% drop, it will still continue to be credited daily. In addition, the GX Card unlimited 1% cashback programme will be revised on 6 November 2024, though it's unclear what will change.

GXBank also mentioned that the team is working on other products and features. This includes GX FlexiCredit which we reported before, an upcoming loan pass plan, as well as other financing solutions to support SMEs in Malaysia. Well, that's pretty much it.

To date, more than 800,000 Malaysians have earned almost RM29 million through GXBank's p.a. daily interest rate. Also, almost 26,000 Malaysians have signed up for the app's latest Cyber Fraud Protect feature, which is a digital insurance product to safeguard Malaysians from financial loss from unauthorised electronic transfers.
