Today, Samsung unveiled two new foldable phones instead of the annual Galaxy Note series at this time of the year. Introducing the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, these two phones have been part of the many previous rumours and leaks so without further ado, let's see what Samsung has brought to the table.

Galaxy Z Fold3 5G details

Starting with the Galaxy Z Fold3, this phone has caught our attention as the first foldable smartphone with an under-screen camera feature. The under-screen camera is just 4MP and it's located on the inner 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display. For the cover camera, it is still the same 10MP sensor on the outer 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display. The triple rear camera remains as well which is 12MP (main) + 12MP (ultrawide) + 12MP (telephoto).

Interestingly, the Galaxy Z Fold3 also got smaller in size but retaining the same display sizes. In addition, the phone got more durable thanks to the reinforced aluminium body (50% stronger), IP8X water resistance rating and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The screen layer on the inner display is also 50% durable than before.

As previously speculated, the Galaxy Z Fold3 indeed got an S Pen of its own. Promptly called the S Pen Fold Edition, this stylus is smaller and lighter than the S Pen Pro version. Other notable features include dual Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, a 120Hz refresh rate on the outer display, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition.

For the interior tech specs, the Galaxy Z Fold3 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, 12GB of RAM and a 4400mAh battery. The storage comes in either 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 option. Finally, it comes in three colour models - Phantom Green, Phantom Black and Phantom Silver.

Galaxy Z Flip3 5G details

Next up, the Galaxy Z Flip3 went through a similar transition as the Galaxy Z Fold3. The phone has gotten slightly smaller compared with the predecessor with the same durability and 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display (now upgraded with a 120Hz refresh rate). However, the cover screen got a big upgrade and now measures 1.9-inches. Sporting a Super AMOLED Display, users can now see incoming notifications, a music playlist, photos and even Samsung Pay.

That being said, the rest of the tech specs are the same as the predecessor except for the chipset. Besides the Snapdragon 888 chipset, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 features 8GB of RAM, 128GB-256GB of UFS 3.1 storage option, a 3300mAh dual battery pack, a 12MP triple rear camera module and a 10MP front camera. This foldable phone has 7 different colour variants too - cream, green, lavender, white, pink, grey and Phantom Black.
