We've seen our fair share of Garmin launches this year, but there's one that caught many by surprise. Yesterday, the company quietly launched the Garmin Instinct Esports Edition smartwatch. As the name suggests, this is a smartwatch with features that are geared towards an esports player.

One of its biggest features is that it allows you to broadcast some of the metrics that are being tracked to your live-stream. To elaborate, the STR3AMUP tool can stream data like your heart rate and stress level to your broadcast for your audience to view. That way, maybe chat would be nicer to you and not give you a heart attack by trolling you with their backseat gaming. It also contains a dedicated esports activity to analyse your gaming performance. Neat!

In terms of specs, the Garmin Instinct Esports Edition is a fairly large 45mm watch that weighs around 52g. It has a robust battery life of 16 hours in GPS mode, up to 80 hours in Esports mode, and up to 14 days if you just use it in smartwatch mode. Additionally, it has a water rating of 10ATM, so it's waterproof and you can even go snorkelling with it.

If you're active in sports and love to live-stream your gaming sessions, this might be a fun device to have. With that said, what are your thoughts about the smartwatch? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more product news like this.
