Google introduced a new Gemini AI feature called Personal Intelligence, allowing the chatbot to provide more personalised answers using data from apps like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search . So, what should you know about it?
You will have to switch it on first
For your information, application connections are turned off by default and require user permission first. You can choose which applications they want to connect to and can turn them off at any time. When Personal Intelligence is enabled, Gemini not only searches for general information on the internet, but can also pull specific details from emails, photos and search history to answer questions more accurately according to the user's personal context.
Google says Personal Intelligence is built with privacy as a priority . Data from Gmail and Google Photos is not used directly to train AI models . Instead, it is only referenced to answer user questions.
Availability
Currently, Personal Intelligence is rolling out in beta to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra customers in the United States for personal accounts. Google plans to bring it to more countries and the free version in the future. The feature will also be introduced for AI Mode in Google Search soon.
