In case you missed it, the Gentari Go app was officially launched by Gentari Sdn Bhd. It's a platform for electric vehicle (EV) drivers to find charging stations across the nation and also encourages the use of clean energy.
Not only can you find charging stations in Malaysia but also in Singapore and Thailand, thanks to the collaboration with charging point operators (CPOs) such as CDG Engie, City Energy Go and EVolt. Combined with the number of chargers offered in Malaysia, Gentari Go users can use over 2000 charging stations in all three countries.
In the app, it allows users to rent an EV. This makes things easier for those who are still driving a conventional vehicle to try driving an EV for the first time. However, Gentari has yet to list specific EV models that can be rented from the app.
Additionally, the app has a user-friendly interface function that informs new EV drivers about energy consumption when charging an EV. Gentari hopes this app will make it easier for users to adopt a lifestyle based on renewable energy by providing solutions for solar energy at home.
Gentari Go users can also purchase an EV charging cable for home use at RM2600. For businesses such as vehicle operators, CPOs and motor companies, it provides services to manage their green energy ecosystem. Business premise owners who wish to become CPOs can also use the CPO-in-a-Box Platform-as-a-Service (Paas) service provided in the Gentari Go application.
Gentari Go can now be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. In conjunction with its launch, you can get a 10% discount on 10 in-app charging transactions.
