So it's confirmed, honor Malaysia will be launching the honor Play on 7 August 2018 and it seems that the pre-booking is now available until the day before the launch (6 August). Customers who pre-book the gaming device will be granted a RM30 voucher, as well as a chance to win a RM50 voucher if they watch the live stream and a free trip to Köln, Germany!!
To recap the tech-specs, the honor Play will be a new addition to the gaming smartphone series featuring the current Kirin 970 chipset, a 16MP (f/2.2) + 2MP (f/2.4) dual rear camera setup, 6.3-inch IPS LCD display in 1080p, 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage (with an expandable memory), running on EMUI 8.2 out of the box and more. Also not to forget, the much talked GPU Turbo will be included so that means that the honor Play will be the first device in Malaysia to have such feature.
On top of that, honor will also introduce a new 4D Gaming Experience feature. It includes a 3D Audio Effect and AI Vibration which as the name suggests, the gaming device will have some sort of surround sound-ish speaker (probably best experienced with an earphone or headphone) accompanied by AI Vibration for the thrills. This ain't nothing new, but it's still something.
