As the anticipated Ghost of Y?tei game inches closer, Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled the Ghost of Y?tei Limited Edition PS5 console bundle. Inspired by Sucker Punch’s upcoming title set in a fictionalised version of Ezo—modern-day Hokkaido, the design pays homage to traditional Japanese art and the emotional journey of the game’s protagonist, Atsu.
Kintsugi-Inspired Gold Edition
The console features intricate artwork rooted in sumi-e brushstrokes and hand-drawn map icons, with Mount Y?tei at its centre—a symbol of both the region and Atsu’s personal transformation. The matching DualSense controller showcases a silhouette of Atsu on the touchpad, tying the visual narrative together.
Also revealed is the Ghost of Y?tei Gold Limited Edition, drawing from the Japanese art of kintsugi—where broken ceramics are repaired with gold. This design reflects the game’s themes of resilience and beauty in imperfection, mirroring Atsu’s journey through loss and healing.
Designed for Collectors
Each console and controller features a special maker’s seal engraved with PlayStation’s iconic shapes. The bundle includes a disc-drive PS5, a matching DualSense controller, and a digital copy of Ghost of Y?tei Standard Edition with pre-order bonuses like a unique in-game mask and seven PSN avatars featuring concept art of the Y?tei Six.
Accessories and Covers
For those who already own a PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro, limited edition console covers featuring the same kintsugi-inspired design will be available through select retailers. The DualSense controller will also be sold separately for collectors and fans of the game’s aesthetic.
