This June, Google will be rolling out Gmail confidential mode to all users starting on the 25th of June. Technically, it works just like a self-destructing email would - the email will come with an expiration date whereby the email will be wiped out then. Senders may also revoke the email. As for the receiver, they are not able to forward, copy or download the email. This mode is perfect for emailing out sensitive data.

The feature was originally unveiled earlier this year but has been in beta mode since then. Confidential mode with be left ON as default. However, if an admin manages your emails, they will need to turn it on or off for you in the user settings. Google has mentioned that it will take up to 3 days for all Gmail users to see the mode after it rolls out. Will you be using the Gmail confidential mode?
