GoPro has officially launched the GoPro Hero 8 Black as well as the GoPro Max with the price of 399USD(~RM1673), and 499USD(~RM2092) respectively. As for the availability, the Hero 8 will be available globally starting 11 October while the GoPro Max’s availability date will be from 24 October 2019 onwards.

In terms of the features, the new Hero 8 comes with a built-in mounting allowing it to be mounted on any compatible accessories. But that’s not all, it is also waterproof up to 10 meters and up to 60 meters if you have the camera in GoPro’s waterproof housing. If you compare it against the Hero 7, the Hero 8 is 14% lighter, has enhanced front-microphone, HyperSmooth 2.0, TimeWarp 2.0 and more.

But that’s not all, it also comes with the new Media Mod ecosystem, which gives the user the option to mount a microphone, external lights as well as a front-facing facing screen. In addition to that, it also comes with several extra ports such as a 3.5mm audio jack slot, HDMI slot, and two cold shoe mounts. The Media Mod ecosystem would most likely be very useful for users who vlog frequently, and would most likely have their own accessories.

The GoPro Max, on the other hand, comes equipped with a camera on the front as well as on the back. The user can utilize either front, back or both cameras in order to take panoramic pictures thanks to the Max SuperView feature.
