GoPro Max2 360 release - 1/2.3-inch sensor, 8K/30fps video recording, cloud-based editing, and more for ~RM2105

For those who want 360-degree video recordings, GoPro has a new option with the successor to the Max 360. As the name suggests, the GoPro Max2 360 is a compact action camera that delivers 8K 360 video capture camera.

 

Tech specs and features

According to the announcement, the GoPro Max2 360 uses two 1/2.3-inch sensors to capture 360-degree video footage. Specifically, it stitches the visual from the two sensors to output 29MP, true 8K resolution 360 videos. It also packs six microphones, allowing you to capture high-quality, true-to-life 360 audio.

In terms of interesting features, the noteworthy one is the fact that the GoPro Max2 360 has replaceable lenses. GoPro claims that they're made from durable water-repelling optical glass, easily replaced without the need for additional tools or calibration. It also has a bunch of AI features like AI Object Tracking, MotionFrame, CameraFX, and more.

 

Price and availability

The GoPro Max2 360 is priced at USD 500 in the US, which is approximately ~RM2105. Local availability hasn't been confirmed, but it's expected to arrive in Malaysia eventually.
