If you are an avid console fan, you might know the Valhalla DLC for God of War Ragnarok just came out recently. However, the bigger news is not the DLC release. The DLC is widely known for its annoying difficulty. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, Santa Monica Studio just released a new patch update for God of War Ragnarok (05.03). This patch should feature numerous bug fixes and tone down the difficulty of the Tyr boss fight on “Show Me Will” difficulty. The update should also increase the difficulty for some arena challenges, tweaks, UI/UX improvements and crash fixes. It should also prevent memory leaks on PS4.

This is not the first time a boss fight has been nerfed. One of the most popular examples was the Radahn boss fight on Elden Ring. It was infamously hard that FromSoftware, a developer that is notorious for their insanely difficult games, had to nerf him over various patches.
As usual, you need to download and install this update on your console. If you are playing on the PS5, you need to update both the main game and Valhalla fully before playing it. If you own a copy of God of War Ragnarok (Digital or Physical), you can download the DLC for free on PS4 and PS5.
