The Pixel 6 series's launch is getting nearer as it's supposed to happen in September. We can't wait to see what Google has prepared for us this time around after seeing all the rumours hinting at a major change for the Pixel smartphones. During the quarterly earnings call, CEO Sundar Pichai briefly talked about Android 12 and upcoming products, and the words he used are making us more eager to find out what the company has in store.

After a short recap of what has happened at previous Google I/O, Pichai brought up the fall hardware being "showcased" with the upcoming operating system update in a later speech. He also mentioned words like "deep technology investments", and they're possibly pointing to the company's first in-house chipset, Whitechapel.

Furthermore, Pichai also stated that "Pixel remains at the heart of that long-term strategy" and will continue to "push boundaries". Despite the lack of information about the upcoming Google smartphones, the phrases used by the CEO to describe the products are enough to hype us even more than before. It looks like Google is serious about the smartphone business this time to compete against brands like Samsung and even Apple.
