With the rise in popularity of video conferencing apps, companies have been making efforts to promote and improve their services. Google Duo is one of them and it's just seen some new improvements to it that users will appreciate. In the latest update, Google added four new features to the platform to help people stay connected.

According to an official post, Google will soon be introducing a new video codec that will boost both the quality and reliability of video calls, even if you're using a low-bandwidth connection. The other feature that many will appreciate is the increase in video call participants from 8 to 12. Google is also aiming to increase this number in the coming weeks, so it's a good way for groups to get in touch.

Up to 12 participants can now join calls

Besides that, Google Duo will add more ways for you to share with one another. For example, you'll now be able to take photos during video calls that will be shared to all call participants automatically. Also, Google has added more ways to share important moments through the apps, including extra AR filters.

Due to having end-to-end encryption, Google Duo is a great app to use since it ensures privacy and security. With that said, what video calling app are you currently using and why? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
