As expected, Google Gemini, a new generative AI chatbot, will be the successor to Google Assistant. Slowly, most Android devices have already adopted Gemini as the default virtual assistant. It will also be coming to Wear OS watches in the future. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, the full use of Gemini on the watch is still unclear. On the phone, for Google Home control and other controls, Gemini relies on various plugins to function like Assistant. In the code found by Android Authority, Gemini Live support, a chat feature with an AI chatbot, will be supported.
Moreover, support for calling Gemini with Hey Google will also be supported. It's disappointing that Hey Gemini support hasn't been introduced yet. It's also not sure if only Wear OS 5.0 will receive it or everything from Wear OS 3.0 and above. We have yet to confirm other details on the watch. Hopefully, everything will be resolved soon.
