Google I/O 2021 has been scheduled to take place starting from 18 to 20 May. At the event, the tech giant could be announcing Android 12, Pixel 5a smartphone, and more. However, a session titled "Create your first Tile in Wear" has caught attention by signaling that the Wear OS could be getting a big update.

It is worth mentioning that Google's smartwatch operating system rarely gets updates and that upsets the fans a lot. Therefore, many are anticipating the changes that Google will bring to the Wear OS at the event. Tiles are the smartwatch faces that come with specific functions and they were announced back in 2019. Judging by the title, it looks like Google is letting third-party apps get tiles as well.

Besides that, there are also other talks covering Google Assistant, Google Play, Firebase, Google Play Services, Android TV, Google Search, Google Pay, Chrome, Flutter, and more. We can't wait for all the surprises that Google will bring at the Google I/O this year.
