Google Maps has been offering a lot of new features for the users. Today, another one goes live by letting users check toll fees before hitting the road. The feature was announced a few months ago, and it's available now for the iOS and Android users.

The feature allows users to check the total toll charges before they start navigating, with information coming from the trusted local tolling authorities. Google Maps will also factor in various payment methods to offer those estimates. It will cosnider the day of the week and time of day as well.

If users don't want end up paying that much, keep note that the navigation app already offers an option that helps avoid tolls for a long time. Not only that, but users can also opt for more fuel-effecient routes depending on their needs. Of course, the journey might take longer with these options turned on.

It's worth mentioning that only users in the US, India, Japan, and Indonesia get to see the toll fees for now, but it's said that more countries will be added in the future.
