Google Nest Audio release: More bass and faster Google Assistant for ~RM415

We haven't covered it as much, but one of the products Google has been working on is a new smart speaker. Along with its new Pixel smartphones and Chromecast with Google TV, Google has launched the Nest Audio. This is the successor to the Google Home series speaker and will easily connect to any existing Google smart speakers you have.

For the Nest Audio, Google decided to go with a slim design rather than having a big speaker. It has custom drivers to fit into its body, yet output high enough volume from its small body. Allegedly, the Nest Audio is 75% louder than the Google Home and has bass that's 50% stronger. You can also tweak the settings with the Media EQ, adjusting the sound signature to your preference.

Speaking of features, it also has the Ambient IQ feature, which adjusts audio volume based on background noise. Another key feature, of course, is support for Google Assistant. For the US version, it's said that the speaker can learn your music commands and respond faster. It's unsure if this responsiveness will be possible with Nest Audio speakers in other regions.

The Google Nest Audio will be retailing for USD100 (~RM415) outside of the USA beginning 15 October, though it has not been confirmed if Malaysia will get it. But if it does, will you be interested in it? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
