Google NotebookLM app now available on Android and iOS

The Google NotebookLM app is now available for download on Android and iOS devices after being accessible only via a web browser for a long time. With this app, users can now more easily access the localized LLM or AI Chat that is NotebookLM. As we covered previously, while it requires you to upload your sources manually beforehand it does manage to reduce the problem of generative AI hallucinations by only sourcing from the references that you provide.

Like other note taking apps it can also be used to summarise notes, which can then be converted into podcasts for easy revision using audio. These audio notes can then be downloaded for offline listening. In podcast mode, listeners can interrupt and ask questions about the topic being discussed as if they were listening to a live lecture. Questions are also given in text form, and NotebookLM will provide complete answers with annotations that can be read in the processed notes.

Quite a few people have use the NotebookLM app to generate scripts, use it as an Assistant, find ideas using just your materials and even use it as an AI assistant of sorts. The Google NotebookLM app is supported on devices with at least Android 10 and iOS 17. What are your thoughts on this news? Comment below, and stay tuned for more news like this at TechNave.
