iPay88 has announced that they have become one of the 60+ partners to support Google Pay and they are planning to introduce the payment system to various e-commerce platforms in Malaysia such as Shopee, Lazada, 11street, and more.

During the Google I/O 2019 which was held in California, United States of America. Google has hinted that 70% of customers did not complete their transactions, due to the checkout being too complicated or troublesome to fill in. That being said, Google Pay aims to simplify and streamline the process by helping the customer autofill payment credentials. It can also be supported by multiple vendors to make payment easier on their platform as well.

Google Pay could also be used to make payments at physical stores, through contactless payment via your phone. That being said, I have a very good feeling that in the future, companies such as TMnet, TNB, Astro, Shopee, Digi, Grab and more will be quick to adopt the new payment system introduced by iPay88.
