Next up, the latest Pixel 7a was unveiled by Google as the next successor. By now, you should know that it's not coming to Malaysia but here's everything you need to know about the latest Google flagship.

Like the Pixel Fold, the Pixel 7a is also powered by the Google Tensor G2 chipset and Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel 7a has a lot of firsts in the A series lineup, such as having 8GB of RAM, Face Unlock, up to 90Hz refresh rate and wireless charging. The design is still more or less the same, though, but with an all-new midframe architecture and its aluminium body is 100% recycled.

Onto the tech specs, the OLED display is 6.1 inches and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The main camera is 64MP with OIS, an upgrade from 12MP from the predecessor and only has a 12MP ultrawide lens. Meanwhile, the 13MP front camera hangs out as a cutout dot at the top centre and apparently can record a 4K at 30fps video. The rear camera is impressive too, supporting up to 5K video at up to 60fps.

Last but not least, the battery is 4385mAh but only supports an 18W fast charging technology. The aforementioned wireless charging is also 18W so that's fine, and it also has a better IP67 water and dust resistance. Oh, Google also highlighted its Super Res Zoom up to 8x, giving you high-quality zoomed-in images.

The Pixel 7a's starting price is $499 (~RM2224) for the 8GB + 128GB (UFS 3.1 storage). Again, it won't be coming to Malaysia but apparently, the Indian market can get their hands on it. You can check out the full details of the features and availability right over here, and stay tuned for more Google I/O news.
