We're now getting rumours of the Google Pixel 8 series. According to the latest report, the devices will take it to the next level for photography by featuring an advanced solution, bringing a huge upgrade over the Pixel 7 series.

The Pixel series was one of the first to support HDR+ photography. Now, discovered by Kuba Wojciechowski, the source code in the Google Camera Go app revealed that 2023 Pixel devices could feature staggered HDR. It appears to be a solution that allows the sensor to capture different exposures simultaneously with the same pixels.

Staggered HDR is claimed to be better than standard HDR as it achieves the same effect in a shorter time without the blurriness caused by movements while taking pictures. The current Pixel 7 series packs the ISOCELL GN1 sensors. However, the Samsung sensor doesn't support staggered HDR. Therefore, it's expected that the next series will feature the ISOCELL GN2.

Furthermore, the source code also reveals a device called Pixel Tangor Pro. It's said to be a possible Pro version of the Pixel tablet. It is exciting news, suggesting that Google has been preparing more than one tablet.
