It seems that the Google Pixel 9a is coming to Malaysia soon. The upcoming new member of the Pixel 9 series was spotted on the e-ComM database by SIRIM. There is a good chance that we may see the launch this month.

In addition, a media source also said that the Pixel 9a was listed not once but twice. Besides SIRIM, the phone has also been spotted under two local distributors in Malaysia - VSTECS Astar Sdn Bhd and AnsarComp (M) Sdn Bhd. SIRIM has already approved both distributors since 28 January 2025.

In terms of tech specs, nothing much is known about the Pixel 9a. However, Evan Blass posted a couple of leaks on his social media. He showcased four distinct light colours (blue, black, red and white), with a dual rear camera on the back of the phone. Google Gemini will also be an integral part of the device and should have similar tech specs as the rest of the Pixel 9 lineup, such as a Tensor G4 chipset.

We can only wait and see when Google decides to announce the launch of the Pixel 9a. Until then, stay tuned for the official news coverage at TechNave.com.
